XXX-BRIDGE is a pedestrian zone designed to rethink the bridge as a multifunctional urban object. The shape of the bridge was created through the transformation and rotation of three Saint Andrew's crosses from the coat of arms of Amsterdam.
XXX-BRIDGE is a swing bridge. In its primary position, it provides access to the Hermitage Amsterdam Museum from the eastern bank of the Amstel River and creates areas for relaxation and sightseeing. When rotated, the bridge clearly reveals the three crosses and forms a passage for large vessels. In this position, the three sections of the bridge can also be used as performance stages during celebrations and festivals.
